We all who are living seek a reason for our being
From early youth we search for truth to justify our lives
And live in fear each night,
That we won´t see the morning sunrise
So we become most Sunday's people who crowd beneath that steeple
To search our hearts for answers that we doubt somehow we'll find
Yet a simple prayer can rest your weary soul
And ease your troubled mind
Just by saying: Lord,
Forgive me, help to make me strong
I've a will to live but it's almost gone
I don't want for nothing that I've lost along the way
I just wanna trade my sorrows
For the good side of tomorrow, today
We all are rapidly aging,
Our lives they're quickly fading
Rushing to a destiny we could long ago foresee
And each of us must decide
Is this all there is in life
And can I find a place in eternity
